The Illawarra Family Medical Centre was formed in 2005 with the merger of three established local general medical practices. Its founders conceived a vision of a modern purpose built facility providing consulting suites, staffing and services to general medical, specialist and allied health practitioners, who in turn serve the local community with dedicated and expert care.

Our Practice
IFMC provides high-quality, traditional family general practice care from a modern, well-equipped facility, welcoming patients of all ages, including new and overseas student patients.
Our team of 19 male and female GPs are vocationally registered and hold postgraduate qualifications, supported by experienced nurses, reception and administration staff.
We have a strong focus on preventive health and medical education, participating in teaching programs with the Graduate School of Medicine at the University of Wollongong.
Our facilities include 16 consulting rooms, a dedicated treatment area, spacious waiting rooms, a children’s play area, lift and disabled access, and onsite disabled parking. IFMC is a smoke-free facility.
